America is going through a tough time in our history now, but what I see is an America that is waking up. Americans have taken their freedoms for granted for far too long.
Now, with the talk of socialism sweeping through our government, the government getting so much bigger, and with the Government debt that too large for America to sustain, average Americans who have been asleep for so many years, seem to be waking up to what we all have to lose – The American Dream
Our Founding Fathers gave us a gift, unfortunately schools in America no longer teach about our Founding Fathers and that gift. Parents are no longer teaching it to their children. I have studied our Founding Fathers for about 20 years and I will say this: How can a country know where it is headed, if doesn’t know from where it came? It can’t!
Again you can see in Egypt that people who really have had enough of one person/party in charge of their country, what they will do to make a change. It is sometimes arguable that it does or will not effect us, but you are wrong. You only have to remember that WE started our country because WE did not like being bossed around by one person and one party. So really they are fighting for “The American Dream” in their own country. Who is leading the people in this change, still is not clear. There are those who would like all the different groups to join together to form one group. I hope they do this without bringing a religion into being the reason, as we have discovered long ago that a government based upon a religion is that same as a dictatorship. By this I mean there have been people who have used the “book” to their own advantage, thereby suppressing free thought, movement and way of life throughout history of man.
This freedom of religion and that no political party may be based on any one religion was written into our constitution and is a basic principle that I believe in. Even though I believe in a faith I also believe that there is only one supreme being, no matter what you call it. That could be God, The Great Spirit or whatever, its you choice to believe as you would like to and not have anyone tell you how you should believe, act, or dress because each of us have our own ideas about what we think is right. When you start to listen to only one person, you are really listening to a person who wants to be a dictator.
We created a three-part government where each one is to keep the other two on the right path. Sometimes I think that each part by itself begins to believe that it is the one who is running the country, but they are wrong. Congress is to bring the ideas of the people from their area into play. The President is to run the country. And the Supreme Court is to make sure the other two do everything legally according to the Constitution which was written By and For the People of the United States of America.
