Having long been thinking how I could get my ideas out to the world, I became hooked on blogging. My first attempt of course fell flat on my face. I started to read what others thought should be the way to set-up a blog and more importantly to set my goals as to what I should write about.
My first impression was to use Word Press as a basis, because it gave me the freedom and more importantly the extras that I needed to really bring my ideas across.
I was a computer programmer once upon a time but after a complete nervous breakdown I was unable to do anything but play games. Now that I have been helped by a number of psychiatric Dr.’s I am able to do more. They also allowed me to open my mind to more input and to compare what is happening now with that which I experienced in my life.
Also as I am older then quite a few of the people of the world, I remember what was happening long before most of you can remember. Thus I am able to bring the old news up-to date and open more minds to read the true history of the world.
I am not saying that I know everything, or remember everything completely, but I have learned not to trust any news reporting or any politician. When they say “read my lips” they really mean, “at least they don’t know what I really think.” I know that exciting news sells more newspapers and TV news rooms get more viewers, but why do they all say the same thing about the same accident? Don’t they ever look at what they are reporting from another angle, or are they just parroting the big boss who has his own agenda.
One case in point was the Vietnam war. The only thing that was reported back to the rest of the world was what the US was doing wrong. Never did they report on what the troops were going through and how much good they were doing for so many people.
In the movie “We Were Soldiers” starring Mel Gibson, as they were finally starting to clean up the bodies of the VC‘s, a large helicopter landed with a task force of reporters and photographers. One of the first questions asked was, “How does it feel to be part of the US’s first defeat?” Defeat? They kicked ass but all the big news bosses back in Siagon wanted to know, was the bad news.
So I will keep on saying what I believe truly happened and most of the time I have the history books to back me up. I will continue to voice my thoughts, because that is what we all should do to help change the world for the better (I hope).
