The first time was 1963 and I was with the USAFSS, don’t ask if you don’t know.
The second time was in 1968 at Monkey Mountain. I worked with Air Rescue and had to ride up and down the mountain twice a day. Quite often we had to move the bodies of VC off the road and continue on up. I was also able to ride on a Jolly Green up to Quang Tri where they spent the day as back-up during raids to the north. The base was even hit during the day. Not fun.
I have been in high regard of John Wayne and his portrayal of all the characters he created. In honor of him and all the Veterans from the US and around the world I have included his album about America. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
